Sunflower kids

Here are my favorite shots of Haleigh and Chance in a friend's sunflower field. Our sunflowers did not make it, but I guess the deer enjoyed them! We will try again next year.

Chance's baseball

This is Chance's first year for Minor League baseball. A bit different from a pitching machine. He had a great time. He played catcher and 2nd base. He even played 3rd, 1st, and outfield some. Here are a few shots from the year.

Here is a picture of Haleigh in February at the school beauty pageant. It took first cousin Shaina three hours to curl all that hair. But it turned out so beautiful!!

And then this picture of Chance is from the elementary talent

show back in May. All the kids had to wear Sunday best including

a tie. Not something you will see too often on my boy.

I never remember Easter being so cold....

even when I was a kid. Hats and coats were pulled out for the Easter egg hunts this year. Chance is almost nine and still likes a good egg hunt. But who wouldn't when you are sure to get lots of goodies and even money! When I was a kid, we dyed our own eggs and did not have these plastic, candy and profit filled eggs to find. It was too cold a couple of weeks ago to color eggs outside so we did that today at the Wilsons' house. Chance and I enjoyed dyeing and finding eggs along with just playing with friends. Thanks girls for all the fun (and card game). Here are some snaps from Easter weekend....

What a surprise!

to read my email one day and find that my sweet, dear friend Amy set up a blog for me. She has been after me to get one, so I guess she figured she would just take matters into her own hands. Thank you Amy! I promise to get some pictures loaded soon.
